Day of Dance 2005

Saturday 23rd April saw us celebrate 30 years of dancing in the village since the revival in 1975.  Whilst waiting for all the pictures to filter back from the various photographers positioned, here's a taster of our day from a member of the teams camera that spent most of the day in the stick trolley.

10.30am - All up for Sweet Jenny Jones outside William Walton's former home in Back Lane, now known as  Church Lane.  This is where the side have traditionally started the days dancing from since 1976.

Sweet Jenny Jones - Double sticking chorus and single sticking chorus.

Partners - Founder members Bryan Sheppard and Jim Plester perform chorus of Bluebells of Scotland with full set also in garden of Le Halle Place, the one time home of Janet Blunt and where the dances were collected and noted down.

A shot of the team and a view of the rear of Le Halle Place house and garden.

A closer shot of most of the side that performed that day.  Missing in action at the time of the picture were:- Peter Holmes, Rob Southern, Bill Plester and Damian Peissel all of which turned up eventually after realizing we'd left them behind at the Coach and Horses.

Hmmm.. A Very Strange Title for a 30th Anniversary - Banbury Cake Article
